Remediation of watercourses

In September 2001, the province of Noord-Brabant embarked on a facelift of the rural area in West-Brabant. A historic moment, as it is one of the most far-reaching operations of the last century. These plans offer good prospects for agriculture and horticulture, while at the same time protecting the natural environment and giving it a chance to recover where necessary.

The Brabantse Delta District Water Board asked BAM Milieu to remediate a number of watercourses in the vicinity of Oosteind, the Spoorsloot in Made and the watercourse along the Wetering in Waalwijk, as they contained contaminated spoil. The Brabantse Delta District Water Board is responsible for preventing inundation, pollution and desiccation.
