Solutions - Groundwater remediation

Printer-friendly version

Apart from the soil, the groundwater is sometimes contaminated as well, mostly with volatile substances, such as solvents, oil and aromatics. If that is the case, the groundwater is remediated by means of extraction, purification and discharge or infiltration, often in combination with soil remediation or in-situ remediation.
Combined with soil remediation, the groundwater remediation is two-part:

  • The first part takes place during drainage of the construction pit to be able to excavate the soil in a dry process.
  • The second part - the actual groundwater remediation - follows the soil remediation. BAM Milieu has various purification units for this frequently used method.

Monitoring

Even after the 'active' remediation, we remain an involved partner, if necessary, and will provide the necessary follow-up, such as regular monitoring, for example when mobile contaminations have been left behind. During this monitoring, we determine the development of the contaminations and look for possibilities to end the monitoring as soon as possible, for example when the end situation has stabilised.

Tailor-made

BAM Milieu has a ready-made solution for virtually all types of contamination. However, where this is not the case, we can provide tailor-made design and dimensioning. In our own workshop, experienced engineers build the best and most appropriate water purification units and in-situ remediation systems for your location.
