Solutions - Waterbed remediation
Many waterbeds in the Netherlands are contaminated. Depending on size, we clean the waterbed using a mobile crane positioned on the bank or a vessel or pontoon. This method is called mechanical dredging. In certain situations, the silt is shifted to one or more collection points with a pusher or tug, after which it is excavated and disposed of. In the event of larger bodies of water, hydraulic dredging is usually the method of choice. A cutter suction dredger sucks up the silt, which is then disposed of using tanks and/or pipelines. BAM Milieu is certified and approved for the performance of waterbed remediation (BRL 7003).
